Saving cost

I am really watching my expenses now as I have some plans on housing and building my retirement fund.

I am applying for car sharing membership and its not NTUC carcoop. Its much cheaper and I was able to have both registeration fee waived and annual member fee at 50% discount.

Quite lucky... I also won a complimentary stay at Cameron highland resort just because in 2001 I sign up to be part of their mailing list.

Happy Feet - Be spontaneous, be yourself

Watched Happy Feet today... The first hour is really funny and cute... with those tap dancing, singing and witty sarcastic sense of humor from the amigos...

But there are some deeper message too... is to know who you are and stand firm for yourself even when your closest kins do not support you too... Actually I am also wondering whether Zoo is really prison for animals.

Although 2 hours is abit long for an animated movie, thankfully its highly entertaining most of the time, thus making it very watchable and I think the adults will appreciates the deeper meaning in this animated movie.

Something to reflect upon

An ordinary friend has never seen you cry.

A true friend has had a wet shoulder from your tears.

An ordinary friend does not know your parents' first
names.

A true friend probably has their phone number written
down as well.

An ordinary friend brings a bottle of wine to your party.

A true friend shows up early to help you prepare...
and stays late to help clean up.

An ordinary friend gets upset when you call late.

A true friend asks why you weren't able to call earlier.

An ordinary friend likes to listen to your problems.

A true friend likes to help you solve them.

An ordinary friend behaves like a guest and waits to be
served when he or she visits.

A true friend goes to the fridge and serves himself.

An ordinary friend thinks your friendship is over after
a quarrel.

A true friend knows that friendships get stronger after
a quarrel.

An ordinary friend always expects you to be there to
help out.

A true friend is always there to help you out.

A true friend? Someone who sticks with you when everyone
else abandons you.

..........................................................

"A friend is someone I can be sincere with, someone I can
think out loud to."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

While walking along a beach at dawn an old man saw a boy
picking starfish up off the sand and throwing them back
into the sea. He caught up to the boy and asked him what
he was doing.

The boy replied that the starfish would die if left
exposed on the sand after sunrise.

"But this beach goes on for miles," the old man said.
"There must be thousands of starfish stranded on the sand.
What difference will it make to save just a few?"

The boy looked at the starfish he was holding in his hand,
then threw it onto the surf.

"Well, for that starfish it makes a big difference."

Step up

Now this is one really cool movie that not only makes your feet tap to the music but also inspires you to step up to reach for your goals... Great movie, thumbs up.

New handphone K618i

Was so looking forward to meet Angel in the evening as I have a surpise for her.

Told her that I would be going to buy a new HP first before meeting her, but she said she would like to go together as she wants to upgrade her handphone too.

I got my handphone for a cheap deal of $98 since I am on a tight budget.
Though its not the high end handphone, it serves my basic needs sufficiently.

I am even more relieve and surprise that Angel told me she was very touched by my surprise... :)

Happy Feet

I would definitely want to catch this movie

ten steps you can take that will help you create prosperity and abundance.

Step 1. Define your values.
Make a list of what matters to you and write a description of what you want your life to look like.

Step 2. Take a good look at your life.
Look at the energy you are generating, the people you interact with, the condition of your dwelling, what you eat, how you feel, etc. Also examine whether or not the life you are living is in agreement with your values. If it isn't, what is keeping you from doing what you want to do?

If you want to be in a more comfortable financial position -- whatever that means to you -- then be sure to examine your money feelings.

Step 3. Make a commitment to change.
If you aren’t comfortable and living the life you want, you will have to make a deep commitment to change your thoughts, beliefs, emotions and the physical expression of your consciousness.

Step 4. Accentuate the positive.
You can either expect a positive or negative outcome from the choices you make and from your life stories. If you expect the worst, you are more likely to get it than if you imagine a positive future. You also have the option of believing that life is benevolent and that you can live a comfortable, satisfying life.

If you learn to look at life from a positive point of view, you will learn the “attitude of gratitude.” Instead of feeling that you aren’t getting enough, you will begin to appreciate what you have.

Step 5. Treat yourself like someone you love.
Fire the critical parent in your head that tells you that you aren’t perfect just the way you are. Treat yourself with loving kindness and remember to say, “I love and accept you just the way you are,” to yourself at least once a day. Do the Love Yourself exercises that you will find here.

Step 6. Connect to other people.
Sharing your life with other people feels good and contributes to the feeling of abundance. Give freely of your time or resources to show your appreciation. If you want to earn more money, then you need to connect to more people because money is always attached to people. If lack is what defines your life, then you may need to make an effort to connect on a deeper level with more people. Go to meetings, join clubs that interest you, go to spiritual gatherings, etc.

Step 7. Let go of the past.
Forgiveness and letting go of the pain of your past takes time but opens the door for positive energy to come into your life. You can begin the process of letting go of your past by cleaning out the things that you no longer use or remind you of uncomfortable times in your life.

Step 8. Spend time with your Self.
Spend time in solitude getting to know who you are. You can either meditate, which is suggested, or just spend quite time doing whatever feels good to you. If possible, connect to nature as often as possible. Even if you just sit on a patch of grass and feel the earth beneath you, that will help. Become aware of the birds, trees and flowers. When you can, get out into a country setting.

Our meditation pages have simple instructions that can help you gradually develop the habit of daily meditation. During your times alone, watch your thoughts. If they are negative, replace them with positive thoughts. Visualize what you want, as if it has happened and affirm your belief in a positive future. For information about affirmations, click here.

Step 9. Take responsibility for your life.
As long as you blame others for what is happening to you, or if you keep yourself in a victim position, you will never be able to tap into your ability to create what you want. People who are successful understand that it is their reaction to life that determines the course of their lives. They are willing to examine the part they play in creating whatever negative dramas may play out. The idea is to let life happen through you, not to you. (This is discussed at length in Prosperity Is an Inside Job.)

Step 10. Each day do at least one new thing that will take you closer to your goals.
In order for your life to change, you have to consciously make changes. This takes effort and commitment. That’s why success doesn’t happen to people who just wish for it and hope that some unseen force will give it to them. You can start by changing the quality of your thoughts, getting in touch with what you are feeling in a variety of situations -- and about your money, eating one healthy food, smiling at one person who you might have scowled at in the past, or giving something away. If you only take one small step each day, you will adapt yourself to the process of change.

Back@work

Was feeling out of breath when I was talking to my company this morning...
Took medicine immediately when I settled in at my partition. I again felt sick 6 hrs later after the medication.

I got a call for interview @ a prestious company today. Actually its my 3rd time going to this same company, which did not offered me the previous 2 times. This time round, I went ahead just to get a feel of whats happening in the market and why / what are they looking for now, and somehow knowing I am not the person they are looking for and I certainly not sure I would want to put in that kind of hours @ work that they are so famous for.

It was the same person I met the first time I went there. I guess because I didnt really have alot of hope of getting into the company, so I was very relaxed. The interview went well and I think my chance is very high. Actually if I take up this job, I would not have time to think of any other things... Guess that will make the new chapter fresh...

Sick

It started on Thursday where I had to work OT till 9.30pm and on Friday evening I started to feel my body aching badly while having BK dinner.

I went to bed drinking alot of water last night. I even woke up in the middle of night to drink water... not sure why I felt so thirsty
Anyway, when I woke up in the morning, I felt ok except abit of sore throat.
Nonetheless I continued to drink alot of water, however, my body start to feel all aching and throat was even more sore.

Maybe I was feeling quite upset yesterday which lowered my immunity ( as suggested by a friend ).

I slept almost the entire afternoon after taking panadols. I am still aching now...

I have been thinking... I hope I have been thinking in the right direction...
