Many people who can't understand why their ex doesn't care anymore. They wonder why they can't at least say, "Hello" or why they don't respect the fact that they would like to talk with them.
The reality is that you may never get what you want from this person. They
may never give you the validation you are looking for, it's simply not
going to happen.
I understand that you wish you could get validation from them, but
the truth is, you don't need someone else to make you feel okay.
Being okay, has to come from within you.
Looking outside of yourself for people or things to raise your self
worth is looking in the wrong places. Once you feel good about who
you are and what you stand for, you won't need other people to make
you believe you're good enough. You will know it yourself.
We all know how painful it is to face the end of a relationship,
especially one that you didn't want to end, but sometimes things simply
don't work out the way we plan and that is a hard pill to swallow.
But, just because things didn't work out, doesn't mean that they won't
in your future. Don't attach your self worth to whether or not you
get validation from your ex. Thier actions speak volumes as to who
they are, not you.
Learn to love yourself and if someone chooses not to love you anymore,
you will always know that you're okay with or without them. You won't
need their approval when you have your own. Self-esteem is when you
esteem yourself.
So the next time you're looking for your ex to make
you feel good about who you are, let it go and know that as soon
as you get through the pain of your breakup you will be on your way
to finding someone who will see what you see in yourself.
